About the press

CWMK Publishing is a small, independent press based in the United Kingdom.

We publish regional folk history — the stories that sit a little below the line of what the guidebooks will print, and a little above the line of what the pub will swear to.

The press was founded in 2023 with a short list of four titles and one writer. Three years on, the catalogue runs to thirty-seven books across three authors and two continents, and we are still interested in the same thing: the quiet account, told by the person who was there, in the place where it happened.

Our books are available worldwide as eBooks through Amazon Kindle and Apple Books, with selected titles available in paperback. We are not, and do not plan to become, a large press.
